As our youth Chair rep. I have to side with my youth on this subject. I will certainly as an adult adjust to the increase but as youth dependent upon their parents income I cannot agree. The ADBS budget must not rely on the youth members. Our youth are not financial independent and a annual fee that does not fit a family budget will cost us members.
I represent our youth in the club and I feel this increase to a junior is not bennificial to the goals our Youth Program is trying to incorporate at this time.
I mean no offence and am flying blind not knowing how the budget procedes but my first obligation now is to the security of our youth members. and since they are not financially secure I see this as an undue burden.
Please rethink our approach here as we in the youth program are rethinking ours.
: I agree 100%. Why do the youth have to pay as much when they get less back from the club? I dont see plaques or cash at Nationals or District meets for the youth. Nor do I see recognition for the youth and their accomplishments. Yes there is a section for the youth shows on the club website, but there are only about 3 shows a year that get posted, I dont call that recognition. How hard is it to get a copy of the show report and put put the results of the youth show on the website? Do all the show reports include the youth show results? I would certainly hope so, if not that is total ignorance and disrespect on behalf of the person sending the show report in. Im not blaming any one person for this, but it certainly would be easy to go into the Junior show and write down the BB and RB owners. Having Ric appoint a Youth Committee is probably the best thing for the future of the Dutch Bantam in America.
