Personally Rog I don't think it does we breed for color and type to genetic differences. I don't think one effects the other. I think much is tainted. but thats just me ;O)

Deb

: : Hi Deb & Ken One thing I have noticed on the BLB pullets , the few I have raised that are Holland bred birds is that the color will get better after a couple molts. I have no proof but I feal the blue gene in the BLB does effect the tail on the BLB cocks. But then why do some of the BLB pullets have as good a tail as the good tailed LB pullets? Will be interesting to see CJR`s take on the tails on the BLB cocks. Rog

: Rog,
: All the literature I have ever read speaks of how the Blue males can be inferior to the females, so it might be something in the genes that work on tail feathering and structure. You think? You raise Blues, don't you?
: Ken
