Cream Light Brown for U.S.
Male Plumage: Head rich straw yellow. Neck hackle light straw-yellow, each feather having a greenish-black middle stripe. Back deep golden-orange. Saddle hackle corresponding with neck hackle, a little darker permitted. Breast black with green sheen free from markings or spots. Wing bow black. Shoulders deep golden-orange. Wing bar iridescent greenish-black; primaries inner web and tip black, outer web creamy yellow straw; wing bay being creamy yellow-straw when wing is closed. Thighs deep black with green sheen, free from markings and spots. Abdomen black. Tail main sickles and tail coverts green iridescent black, the tail coverts nearest the side hangers with a straw-coloured edge underneath at tip. Undercolour, greyish.
Female plumage: Head greyish-yellow. Throat yellowy white. Neck hackle straw-yellow with a black middle stripe. Wing, back saddle and tail coverts greyish straw-yellow with fine black peppering, as even as possible, free from red rust. Tail main feathers blackish, the top feather on each side with yellow peppering. Breast rich salmon-yellow fading to greyish yellow underneath. Rump and rear underparts grey-yellow. Thighs grey-yellow with some peppering.
In both exes: Beak dark horn or blusih. Legs and feet slate blue.
Faults: Any mismarked feathers. Any splashing or coloured feathers in black parts of male. Red or silver in plumage of male. Any rust or silver in wings of female.
