Tiffsdutch, The last Show with a large Dutch Bantam entry, at Muscle Shoals, had as Best of Breed, a Light Brown female. And at ever so many shows, a pullet or hen, usually Light Brown, is Best of Breed, and the last Western National was won by a LB pullet, 3rd SCCL. Often they are not in best show condition, if they are laying, and to get the show date to coincide with laying, setting, moulting, is often harder than with a cockerel or cock. CJR

I was looking at the birds on the dutch national page and I saw how big the tail was on the cock who won champion dutch it was pritty. And can a hen or pullet win champion dutch? I havent seen a hen win at shows. My real goal is to breed good hens.
